This is England is a gritty British drama about young skinheads in England around 1983, the film illustrates the subculture has roots in Ska, Soul and Reggae music, however in the film we see how these influence have been adopted by white nationalists, which led to divisions.
in 2011 these was a spin-off series set three years after the original film, called This is England '86, and another name This is England '88 is due to be broadcast in December 2011.
